The outline of Lagorai, of the peaks of the Dolomites, of Pale di San Martino, is the mountain setting of the slogan we chose for the Nordic Ski World Championships Fiemme 2013 “Fiemme Vallevviva”.
This slogan represents our commitment to set up an eco-friendly development for our future.
We want to improve the quality of life of the inhabitants, but also of the tourists who are coming to Val di Fiemme for their holidays. We will be realizing an eco-friendly road network, by clearing the old village centers from the traffic jam and by creating new cycle lanes: we want the people to be involved in the sustainable development of their territory.
The valley has 60 million of trees: a real woody heritage. 20 trees produce the oxygen for a person's life. There are 170 trees for each inhabitant.
This heritage is protected and kept by Magnifica Comunità di Fiemme, an institution born in 1111, that this year celebrates its 900 years of history.
